Sean’s Place is an 18-month transitional housing program for 12 men and women continuing their journey to self-sufficiency. It is considered a “step up” house for individuals who have graduated from The Community Shelter program. These residents no longer need the day-to-day guidance of a case manager, but still seek a supportive environment in which to cement their independence and self-reliance. Sean’s Place outcomes are some of the best in the area. Ninety-eight percent of our residents move into permanent housing and never return to the homeless services system.
- Each resident has a private bedroom and everyone shares a community kitchen.
- A sense of community is a large part of the success of Sean’s Place. Prospective new residents are interviewed by current residents to ensure that they are committed to living productively in a peer support community.
- While at Sean’s Place, residents continue to work with a Case Manager and must remain employed full-time or working part-time and enrolled in an educational program.
- Residents pay a program fee of $330 each month and must save 10% of their gross monthly income for debt reduction.
